What are your regular office hours?
Our regular clinic hours are 8:30 AM - 12:30 PM and 1:30 PM - 5 PM, Monday to Friday.
Reception and the phone service is unattended outside the regular clinic hours.
A practitioner may work beyond these times. On these occasions, patients with a scheduled appointment, are asked to be seated in the waiting area next to the lift .
Our practitioners work different days and hours. Please see "Appointments & Fees" for the individual practitioner listed under "Our Staff" for their availability.
How much does it cost to see a doctor or allied health practitioner?
We have a number of doctors and allied health practitioners, each with their own fees structure. Please see "Appointments & Fees" for the individual practitioner, these are listed under "Our Staff". Fees vary according to specialty, service and consultation duration.
I am a new patient. How do I make an appointment and what information do I need to provide?
New patients must contact the receptionist directly to make an initial appointment, by phoning 02 9437 3906.
When making an appointment you will need to provide the following information
- First, middle & last name (as it appears on your Medicare Card),
- Date of birth, and email address (this forms part of your electronic identification),
- Street address (as registered with Medicare),
- Phone number, best contact,
- Medicare Card number, individual reference number (IRN)and card expiry, and
- Name of the doctor your have been referred to
Do I need a referral?
Yes, you will need a referral from either a specialist or your GP. Specialist referrals are valid for 3 months from written date, GP referrals 12 months from written date.
Psychotherapy and psychologist appointments require a Mental Health Care Plan to receive a Medicare rebate.
I've seen the doctor before. Do I need a new referral?
Existing patient's need a new referral where
- the initial referral has expired
- there is a change to their treating doctor, specialist or GP
What should I bring to my first appointment?
Your referral, and a current list of over-the-counter medications, vitamins or supplements (including herbal ones) that you are taking. To get the most out of your appointment please bring your most recent and any relevant pathology or other diagnostic results, including relevant operation reports.
If your referral is from a specialist and you would like another doctor copied into your correspondence you will need to provide their postal address and phone details upon registration. Patient privacy is paramount and no information will be released to any party without the written consent of the patient.
What is your appointment policy?
Our physicians work by appointment only. They do not offer drop-in appointments.
Patient's are requested to arrive 5-10 minutes early for their appointment. Please phone if you are running late to notify the receptionist of your expected time of arrival. Please leave a voice message if your call is unanswered. Patients are seen in order of the appointment schedule, not time of arrival. if we are aware of delays, adjustments can be made to the appointment calendar to minimise wait times.
On occasion, patient appointments may require longer time than scheduled. As these delays are unpredictable, we ask for your patience. A sincere attempt is made to adhere to the clinic schedule as much as possible.
What is the Appointment Change Notification Policy?
To enable other patients access to needed medical treatment each practitioner has and "Appointment Change Notification Policy" which covers, cancellations, rescheduling, non-attendance and missed or forgotten appointments.
When an appointment is made we commit this time for our practitioners to be available for your care. As an appointment only practice, consultations cancelled or rescheduled at short notice cannot be rebooked. While some practitioners have waiting lists, most people cannot reorganise their commitments at short notice.
If you do need to cancel or postpone your appointment, please provide at least 24 hours notice from your appointment time, excluding weekends.
Cancellations after this time incur a charge of $100.00, payable at the next session.
How do I get a refill of my over-the-counter prescription?
We ask that prescription refills be completed during regular office visits whenever possible.
Alternatively, existing patients can email their doctor directly where patients have consulted doctor within the past 12 months . A $20.00 prescription fee applies.
The email (from the address registered with the practice) should state
Subject : Repeat Prescription
- Your full name (as it appears on the Medicare Card) ,
- Date-of-birth,
- Name of your medication and dose,
- Postal address,
- Best contact number, and
- Credit card details
Please note our doctors do not work every day. See "Our Staff" to find the usual days of practice of your practitioner.
Important. Physicians must have the benefit of reviewing your medical record before prescribing any additional medications. Calculate in advance when you may need a refill on medicines that were prescribed by us, as we require at least 72 hours notice, excluding weekends.
Any changes to your prescription medication or dose must be made in consultation with your doctor.
How do I get a refill of my injection medication?
We ask that prescription refills be completed during regular office visits whenever possible.
Alternatively, existing patients can email their doctor directly where patients have consulted doctor within the past 6 months (as per TGA, Medicare and associate health industry regulations) and a follow up appointment is scheduled from there last visit (to indicate intention of ongoing care).
The email (from the address registered with the practice) should state
Subject : Injection Medication Order
- Your full name (as it appears on the Medicare Card) ,
- Date-of-birth,
- Name of your injection medication product,
- Syringes Yes / No,
- Delivery address and Invoice Postal address,
- Best contact number, and
- Credit card details (or Note "authorisation credit card details on file")

Important. Physicians must have the benefit of reviewing your medical record before prescribing any additional medications. Calculate in advance when you may need a refill on compounded medicines that are supplied and delivered by our laboratory, as we require at least 72 hours notice, excluding weekends. Compounded pharmacy is a made-to-order prescribed medication. Variances from the standard formulas may require an additional period of 48 hours it fill orders.
Any changes to your prescription medication or dose must be made in consultation with your doctor.
I am having difficulty reaching you by phone.
Our practice is a busy niche specialist group that understands the intimacy and privacy of issues for our clients. As such, client interactions can on occasion be delicate and thus timely.
Where your call diverts to the courtesy answer machine during office hours (as shown above), the receptionist is either with a patient or on another call.
