Dr Chris McMahon has extensive expertise in all areas of male sex function and dysfunction with men of all ages, including reproductive difficulties. His pioneering involvement and more than 30 years experience in male sexual health function provides his patients with a broad view on the approach and management to these issues.
Dr McMahon is a Consultant Sexual Health Physician and Fellow of the Royal Australian College of Physician’s Chapter of Sexual Medicine. Dr Chris McMahon is the Director of the Australian Centre for Sexual Health in Sydney, a past President of the International Society of Sexual Medicine (ISSM), a committee chairman for the WHO Second and Third International Consultation on Erectile and Sexual Dysfunction and a vice chairman of the 4th International Consultation on Erectile and Sexual Dysfunction.
Dr McMahon is an Associate Editor of the Sexual Medicine Reviews journal. He has published extensively on sexual health, with 20 book chapters and over 100 original research and invited review articles in peer-reviewed international medical journals.
Dr McMahon is a member of several local, regional and international medical associations, Dr McMahon has been invited to lecture on sexual medicine worldwide. He has been a Federal and State ministerial adviser as well as an adviser, expert witness and reviewer to several regulatory and statuary bodies on the provision and delivery of health care to men with sexual dysfunction. He also advises several multi-national pharmaceutical and medical device companies. His recent research has focused on drug treatment for patients with refractory erectile dysfunction and on drug treatment of premature ejaculation.
